Carbo Reloads

I’ve been trying to have 1 carbo reload (ie. “Cheat”) meal or day each week. I had been saving up last week for my favorite all-you-can-eat Italian restaurant but plans changed and we didn’t get to go. So as things go, I just decded to not to indulge.

I didn’t think too much of it until today. I noticed my workouts running out of steam and more than that…I have been having very intense cravings. Chocolate, crackers, potatoes, anything carb-y and I want it! I’m doing well losing weight but haven’t noticed an increased drop since no cheat, so I guess my reloads have actually been helping me.

3 more days to my reload….and I’m looking forward to it!

Changing Up Workouts

The NROL workouts seem to be wreaking havok on my joints. Shoulder, ankle, and elbow. That along with the muscle injury to my shoulder effectively shut down my lifting for a little over a week. Because of all my problems, I changed up my workouts.

A couple of years ago I did P90X for 6 weeks before I got sick and stopped. It’s combination of body weight exercises and being able to use some sort of exercise bands made it the kind of workout that is very adaptable. My third day in and I am feeling good about the change. It is cardio heavy, but that’s mot necessarily a bad thing for me at this point . The plan right now is to complete the 90 days on this program and then re-evalute possibly with the thought of going back to NROL HypI.

At least I’m back in the swing of things!!

Trying to Stay on Track

Now that my shoulder feels better, my elbow is killing me. I’m trying to make up with cardio, but it’s just not the same. I’m thinking of going to bodyweight exercises until I’m healed up and ready to lift again. And I feel like I’ve stalled out again on TNT, at the same weight I did before!?

It’s so frustrating to come this far and feel like things are stacking up againstme. But if it was easy, no one would be overweight I guess.

Shoulder Again

So I took a week off and worked out with my shoulder again. Felt OK, not great but OK. Then After I slept on it wrong again it hurt. I think sleeping funky on it has been my biggest issue. Tomorrow I’ll try it again and we’ll see how it goes

Shoulder Issues

My shoulder is still bugging me. I’ve been adjusting workouts and trying to take my shoulder out of the exercises. You never realize how much you use your shoulder until it hurts when you do use it. I’m giving it 2 more workouts, then I’ll have to decided where to go. Either plug along with modified workouts, or double the cardio workouts.

On Track

I feel right on track with my weight loss this time. I stalled last time I did TNT and that’s why I tried the Abs Diet. Now I’m down past my stall out point. It feels good to be making progress and is in itself motivating.

Kids tricked me into a buffet tonight. I didn’t stay on plan, but didn’t lose control like I used to do either. You have to live a little, right?

Adjusting Workouts

So my shoulder keeps bothering me. I had to take some elements out of my workout. I almost skipped it all together, but could see the dangerous path I was setting to on that. It’s so easy to fall off the horse and not jump back on. I took out some exercises that had movements that botherded my shoulder and added different ones in that didn’t. Pretty simple fix really. And it helped me keep a good attitude today!

Little Injuries

Small injuries just keep adding up. An ankle, a wrist, neck, just little stuff. So far I have decided to keep going forward with my workouts as long as form doesn’t suffer. I just wonder how long these things will take to heal if I wait on resting them.

Oh well, time will tell.

Getting Motivated

I took a week off from lifting at the end of January. Thought it would be a good break and it conicidened with a vacation. Ever since getting back, it is hard to lift.

I used to get up at 6 or 6:30 in the morning and lift, now I can’t seem to get out of bed. I’m still managing to get my workouts in in the afternoon, but need to get back on track with the mornings. The whole day just seems better when I do!

Thank God for the start of a new 52 Day Challenge. It comes just in time to thwart the return of my BLOB!

Through with the low-carb headaches and on to the feeling of getting somewhere I want to go!
