Changing Mindset

So today I went to buy jeans since the weather here has started to take that winter turn. I usually wear shorts and I only have 1 pair of jeans without a hole.
In the past when buying things I’ve always had that sense in the back of my mind of “will they still fit in 6 months?”–and NOT the good way!! Well today was different. Last time I bought jeans they were 38’s, and snug at that. I tried on the jeans and they were loose, and 36’s! And I thought I should buy a couple of pairs, but then I thought “I’ll only get one because these might not fit too much longer!”–the RIGHT way!
Growing up, I always wore “husky” jeans. Nice way of a kid to think he’s not overweight, huh?? I didn’t figure that out until I was older and have always grouped it with things in my life that made being bigger OK. Simple changes to my thinking like this are just as rewarding to me as the actual changes I’ve made.
Tomorrows my birthday, so we’ll see how the eating goes! have a great one!

Nice - isn’t it. Smaller Jeans - and you know that they will be too big fast enough.
Yes - a husky kid - learns fast enough that he is the FAT kid. Not anymore - you are past that. The husky kid is history.
It has taken me 19 months to finally start re-building my wardrobe.
I will NEVER buy “relaxed” fit jeans again - never.
Nice work. Keep it up.

Hope you have a Happy Birthday!
